A night with Lisandro Adrover

Oliver Kolker & Meredith Klein were working on several collaborations early this year, all of which became impossible due to Covid. We started looking for a place to channel our collective energy that would be achievable during the pandemic, and given the fact that Buenos Aires was in very strict lockdown.

Entranced by Maestro Adrover’s exquisite bandoneon performance and varied repertoire, we asked him to record a solo concert and interview to be presented in an online event. Both were expertly filmed by Yael Szmulewicz and her team in an exquisite antique home in the San Telmo neighborhood of Buenos Aires.

The result was so moving that we decided to additionally release it as an album entitled Bandoneon Soliloquy.
